Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have very little to be happy about this season, with the club sitting 16th in the Sky Bet Championship table and any attempt to push for the play-offs looks abandoned.

They did overcome their local rivals Aston Villa to a frantic 1-0 victory at Molineux so things might be on the up at the Midlands team, and Paul Lambert may have finally worked his magic since taking over from Walter Zenga earlier in the campaign.

Wolves are yet to complete a signing this month and it seems to be a quiet January at the club with not a lot of transfer negotiations occurring.

They may only want the one or two deals and if they do complete them, I can only see it being loan deals as the current squad doesn't need strengthening too much, in my opinion.

There are a number of players at Premier League clubs who need game time and would benefit from a period away from their teams.

Here is one Chelsea man and a Liverpool player that Wolves should look to sign this week.....

Dominic Solanke

The 19-year-old was tipped for a very bright future in the beautiful game and was likely to heavily feature in Antonio Conte's Chelsea team this season, but that hasn't been the case.

Dominic Solanke made his debut for the Blues in a Champions League thrashing of NK Maribor in October 2014, which made him the youngest ever player to make an appearance in the European club competition for Chelsea.

The striker has since enjoyed a loan spell at Dutch outfit Vitesse and scored seven goals in 25 appearances during his time there.

Solanke has also featured for England at several youth levels.

He caught the eye whilst on international duty with the under-17's when he netted eleven goals in 14 caps for the Three Lions.

Currently amongst the under-21 set up, he's played in three matches but yet to score a goal for England.

Dominic Solanke has a bright future, there's no doubt about that, but it's clear that he isn't in the plans at Stamford Bridge and needs time away from south-west London to build up his confidence, and get a few goals on his belt at senior level.

Wolves would be the perfect place, a team not struggling to survive the drop nor pushing for the play-offs, so there's no pressure for him at Molineux and would perfectly suit Paul Lambert's system.

Cameron Brannagan

Before even making his professional appearance for Liverpool, the midfielder was being scouted by European giants FC Barcelona whilst playing for the under-21 side at Anfield.

Cameron Brannagan's debut came in a Europa League tie against Bordeaux after coming on as a 75th minute substitute.

His long-term future was confirmed at the club by manager Jurgen Klopp when he put pen-to-paper on his first professional contract to keep him there until 2018.

The 20-year-old has three Liverpool games to his name so far, and the only start came in a 1-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth in the League Cup last season.

Brannagan has been praised by several pundits and Klopp himself, being described as a midfielder with ''everything you need''.

Game time on Merseyside is limited for the youngster at the moment and is struggling to make an impact with not one appearance this term.

Molineux is a perfect destination for him because, like I said with Solanke, there is no pressure at Wolves with the club battling for mid-table mediocrity.

The Championship is an ideal division for Cameron Brannagan to experience; a very competitive league and offers a lot for young players tipped for a bright future in the top-flight.
