VfL Wolfsburg director Hans-Gerd Bode has denied rumours linking David Wagner with the managerial post at the Bundesliga outfit, according to Sky Sports News.
David Wagner was recently widely believed to be on his way to Wolfsburg after the German side had grown frustrated with the failings of Valerien Ismael.
Wolfsburg currently sit just one point above the relegation zone with Ismael overseeing just two wins in eight games at the helm.
Wagner, on the other hand, has guided Huddersfield Town to an impressive 4th in the Championship at Christmas.
The Terriers were even leading the pack until mid-October and they have maintained their promotion charge with a platform being set for a successful campaign.
Bode, however, has dismissed the Wagner speculation and insisted that Ismael will be given time to implement his new “direction” for the team.
Ismael himself is said to be annoyed with the speculation and the Frenchman retorted angrily at the press after they questioned his future.
