West Bromwich Albion have entered the race to sign Newcastle United's prize winger Andros Townsend for £10m, according to the Express and Star.

West Brom are the latest club to have shown some reported interest in the England international, who has a £10.5m relegation release clause at Newcastle.

Crystal Palace, West Ham, Liverpool and Manchester City have also apparently registered an interest in the 24-year-old since Newcastle went down.

The wide man previously claimed that he was happy to stay at Newcastle to work with Rafa Benitez unless an irresistible offer came up.

But perhaps the prospect of first team football with an established Premier League club will aid his chances of an England recall. Townsend was included in the 26-man England squad for Euro 2016 but failed to make the final 23.

His inclusion was testament to how well he has performed since moving to St. James' Park from Tottenham in January for £12m.
