Premier League sides West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa are interested in signing Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu, according to HITC Sport.

Robson-Kanu is a target for Villa and West Brom

The 26-year-old made 28 appearances for the Royals last season in a disappointing campaign for his side, scoring just once. He was eye catching in their FA Cup run and played a part in the vast majority of their cup goals.

But his form in the League was less then impressive, and some of the Reading fans would happily see the back of him.

Cardiff City and Wolverhampton Wanderers have already shown an interest in him this year, but the situation has taken a surprising turn, as it is now being reported that Premier League clubs are vying for his signature.

Steve Clarke is looking to take advantage of this by slapping a £2.5 million price tag on his head, with Midlands rivals West Brom and Aston Villa both set to make bid.

It's Robson-Kanu's international performances with Wales that is thought to be catching the eye of these clubs and he was, again, particularly outstanding for them against Belgium last weekend.
