Luke Murphy today left Leeds United to join Championship strugglers Burton Albion on loan until the end of the season and reliable journalist Phil Hay, from the Yorkshire Evening Post, has confirmed via his personal Twitter account that two more senior players are likely to follow.

Phil Hay expects Toumani Diagouraga and Ross Turnbull to follow Luke Murphy out of the exit door at Elland Road this month.

Murphy became Burton’s third summer signing today, after they completed deals for Marvin Sordell and Luke Varney earlier in the month.

The central midfielder had only featured in one EFL Cup game under Garry Monk and was said to be keen on an exit.

Fellow central midfielder Diagouraga has also been frozen out by Monk.

The 29-year-old has been limited to just one Championship match, on the opening day of the season.

Ross Turnbull has not featured at all this season and is third choice behind Rob Green and Marco Silvestri.
