Lucas Radebe remains just as popular with Leeds United as he did over his 11 year spell in West Yorkshire.

"The Chief" as he is fondly known at Elland Road made a total of 256 appearances for the Whites, a total that would of been a lot greater if unfortunate injuries hadn't been a re-occurrence throughout his career.

Radebe sealed his place in United folklore he rejected the chance of a £10M move to arch-rivals Manchester United, stating he "wouldn't wear red."

The South African has always remained close to the club and even has a suite named after him at Elland Road.

This week United are building up to their centenary fixture against Birmingham City on Saturday.

United have promised a number of club legends will be in attendance at the game and Radebe took to Twitter to post of photo of himself alongside another United icon, Tony Yeboah.

Although only making 47 league appearances for the Whites, Yeboah remains a cult hero at Elland Road thanks to his wonder-goals against Liverpool and Wimbledon.

Radebe and Yeboah will both be in attendance at Elland Road on Saturday for the 100 year celebrations and fans were quick to praise their heroes on Twitter.
