The Championship is full of top attacking talent with Burnley striker Andre Gray lighting up the division as it's top scorer.

All the sides at the top have prolific strikers helping them to promotion with Gray and Vokes banging them in for Burnley, Stuani on form for Middlesbrough with Rhodes and Nugent starting to score too.

Also Tomer Hemed has spearheaded the Brighton attack in their unlikely title challenge with 13 goals this season.

Sheffield Wednesday have been fantastic upfront this season after struggling in that department last season, with Hooper and Forestieri proving lethal in front of goal.

Derby have been held together by the goals of the consistent Chris Martin whilst Hull have benefitted from Abel Hernandez's scoring exploits.

But there top strikers are not only at the top with Fulham possessing two of the best strikers in the league.

They have one of the worse defences though which has seen them in a relegation scrap this season, but the goals of Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele will keep them up, whilst the goals of Nakhi Wells has kept Huddersfield clear of trouble.

Jonathan Kodjia has also been very impressive for Bristol City and his goals have kept them up.

Sadly for some sides they have not had strikers of the correct pedigree to keep them up this season, or it has faltered their promotion hopes.

From washed out former internationals to youngsters not making the grade, the Sky Bet Championship is awash with struggling strikers and here are the FIVE worst strikers in the Championship......

5. Alex Revell

Alex RevellAlex Revell

The current MK Dons striker currently has two goals in nine games, and the veteran is starting to look out of place at this level.

He enjoyed his best years with Rotherham in League One where his brace in the play-off final against Leyton Orient helped get Rotherham to the Championship, but upon his arrival to the Championship he has failed to make an impression for Rotherham, Cardiff or the MK Dons.

He scored a disappointing 4 in 24 games in his first season and when at Cardiff got 2 in 24.

This level is too high for Revell and he could do with a step down to League One which he will get with the MK Dons.

4. Chris O'Grady

The Brighton striker did endure a very good spell with Barnsley back in the 13-14 season, scoring 15 goals.

He earned a move to Brighton but failed to impress or replace the goals that Ulloa had scored the previous season.

Brighton found themselves in a relegation scrap but his abysmal one goal in 31 games for Brighton caused him to be loaned out to Sheffield United last season, and Nottingham Forest this season.

Just 2 goals in 19 games at Forest means he no longer makes the bench and Brighton will get rid in the summer.

A player in need of a drop down to League One.

3. Gary Madine

madineee

Madine's striking ability matches how he is as a person.

Terrible and could do with a lot of improvement.

Madine has never been prolific in his entire career with his criminal record having more highlights than his playing career.

He had a good season in League One with Sheffield Wednesday but his record in the Championship is embarrassing at the very least.

After hugely failing at Wednesday with 3 goals in 30 games he went on several loan spells to desperate Championship clubs scraping the barrel.

His spells at Blackpool and Bolton have beared 7 goals in around 40 matches, with him unable to achieve anything apart from make Heskey look one of Bolton's better strikers.

2. Ishmael Miller

Ishmael Miller

The Huddersfield Town striker is known for his sluggish movement, lack of pace and awful finishing ability.

He has played for plenty of Championship clubs including 3 seasons at Nottingham Forest where he scored 4 goals in 3 seasons.

He then became a bit of a journeyman playing for Middlesbrough, Yeovil, Blackpool and now Huddersfield.

He scored an impressive 10 goals in 19 games for Yeovil but his spells at the other sides were very unsuccessful, with 5 in 25 at Middlesbrough and 2 in 22 at Blackpool.

He rarely makes the team at Huddersfield now and will be moved on in the summer.

1. Emile Heskey

heskeyyyyyy

The King of bad strikers ,Emile Heskey has been the butt of many jokes down the years for really being just a bad player who should retire.

His exploits with Liverpool a decade back were successful, but at 38 his ability has majorly dwindled and the Championship has proven to much for him.

Just 2 goals this season in 22 games, he is part of the worst attack in the league and it is likely that he will leave the club in the summer and possibly retire.
