Leeds have set their targets high this season with new manager Garry Monk instilling belief that a top 6 finish is possible, with chairman Massimo Cellino promising season ticket holders a 50% refund if they don't achieve top six.

Cellino will be determined to back Monk in the transfer market, already bringing in Swedish striker Marcus Antonsson and attempting to sign stars such as Kemar Roofe from Oxford.

Leeds have a decent squad with a core of good young players like Charlie Taylor, Lewis Cook and Alex Mowatt, who all came through the academy to now be first team regulars.

Their defence was a major problem last season and with Bellusci leaving, Monk must sign some cover.

Up-front Leeds have Chris Wood who they purchased last summer, he scored 13 goals last season making him their top goal scorer and they will heavily rely on him for goals this season.

With Doukara facing a ban and Antenucci sold they need to sign some cover, with Antonsson signed they have shown intent to sign strikers.

Here are THREE Championship strikers that would be ideal for Leeds......

Kieran Agard

The Bristol City striker has struggled to make any headway in the Championship, despite a proficient goal scoring record in the Championship.

With Bristol City he scored 13 goals in their promotion winning campaign from League 1 but only played twice last season scoring once, with star striker Jonathan Kodjia keeping him out of the squad.

He also scored 20 plus for Rotherham in League 1 before being sold back to Bristol City.

Agard is a good finisher and Bristol will be keen to get rid of him as they strengthen their striking options.

Sam Winnall

The Barnsley hotshot has been linked with a move to a Championship side for a while, but after his 23 goals led Barnsley to promotion last year he may stay.

Winnall's goals helped them to Johnstone Paint Trophy glory and a 3-1 playoff final win over Millwall.

At just 25, he has helped Scunthorpe and Barnsley to promotion in different seasons scoring 20 plus goals in both.

It is time to make the step up and perhaps spearhead a promotion challenge to the Premier League at the head of a Leeds attack.

Adam Armstrong

In what would probably be a loan move for the 20- year-old Newcastle striker, Leeds would be amongst a host of clubs keen on his services.

With Newcastle relegated to the Championship it seemed Armstrong may get some game time, but with players like Mitrovic and Perez up front that looks increasingly unlikely.

With Dwight Gayle close to a move to Tyneside the probability is even lower.

Armstrong is very talented scoring 20 goals for Coventry in League One last season, making the Team of the Year and winning Player of the Year there.

His finishing was outstanding and he is ready to make the step up to the Championship and surely Leeds will be interested in such a lethal goal scorer.
