Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa side have struggled to make an impact in the Sky Bet Championship this season, and an instant promotion back to the Premier League is looking unlikely.

Villa currently sit 14th in the Championship table, 13-points behind the play-off places.

Seven new players arrived at Villa Park during the January transfer window, giving Bruce a selection headache of how to fit them all into his current system.

With Villa’s season looking like they will be finishing mid-table, Bruce will have a good opportunity to assess his new arrivals, along with the club’s youngsters.

Here is a look at TWO wonderkids who might be given a chance between now and the end of the season:

Andre Green

The young winger has already featured under Bruce this season, making ten appearances, including three starts.

The last of those starts came in the 3-0 defeat to Brentford last month.

Despite the quality in his squad, Bruce does not have many options in the wide areas, with only Albert Adomah standing out this season.

This led to Bruce changing his formation for his side’s trip to Nottingham Forest, converting to a 3-5-2 formation, meaning Green lost his place in the starting 11.

With Bruce still trying to find the best formation for his new squad, Green could be given another chance to impress between now and the end of the season.

Rushian Hepburn-Murphy

Hepburn-Murphy singed a new contract at Villa Park last week, keeping him at the club until 2020.

Following confirmation of his new contract, Bruce encouraged the striker to make an impact in the first-team, similar to Green, confirming he would be given a chance to impress.

The 18-year old has made two senior appearances this season, coming off the bench against Newcastle United and Cardiff City.

Hepburn-Murphy may not find chances in the first-team easy to come by, with Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan at the club, but with Bruce hinting more opportunities will come the strikers way, we could see him before the end of the season.
