Sheffield United are the form team in the football league at the moment under Chris Wilder, and look firmly set to challenge for promotion come May.

The Blades have embarked on a 15 game unbeaten run and Chris Wilder has got the Blades playing with renewed confidence and style after what was a terrible season last time out under Nigel Adkins.

Wilder has settled on a best eleven it seems, and this will leave some of the squad perhaps looking over their shoulder and considering a move come January.

The Blades do have some players who can do a job for other teams at this level or below, and there will no doubt be a few players considering their options when the window comes around.

Here, FLW writer Lee Connor takes a look at TWO players who should plead with Chris Wilder for a loan move away in January...

George Long

George Long

Goalkeeper Long has found himself firmly out of favour at Bramall Lane, with new signing Simon Moore the number one keeper and youngster Aaron Ramsdale being selected for the bench in the main.

Long though is a good goalkeeper, and might well look to seek a move away in the transfer window.

The academy product still has plenty to offer and might well find a loan spell away fro Bramall Lane is what he needs to get his career right back on track.

Louis Reed

Louis Reed

Young midfielder Reed was preferred by Nigel Clough a couple of seasons ago as youngster, but has so far failed to make any sort of impact on new manager Wilder.

There is a good player in there with Reed, and he is still young enough to vastly improve.

A spell away with a team who will offer him first team football on a regular basis though could be the making of him, and Chris Wilder might be wise to send out the England under-20 man on loan given the chance.

Blades fans, what do you think? Should these players be sent out on loan? Let us know your thoughts!
