Wigan Athletic welcome Lancashire rivals Preston North End to the DW on Saturday afternoon as the two meet for just the third time since 2005.

Whilst the two aren't the fiercest of rivals, both sides will be looking to take all three points in what could be a very open affair.

Wigan manager Warren Joyce, who made over 150 appearances for Preston, has the advantage of the home crowd in Saturday's game as they look for consecutive wins.

Whereas the Preston fans are sure to play their part as they recently sold out their allocation, and their supporters will all be given Simon Grayson masks in honour of the manager's four-year anniversary with the club.

North End will be looking to claim their third consecutive win and there are many players in their ranks that could play a big part.

Over the next couple of pages, FLW writer Tom Rawcliffe will identify TWO players who could cause Wigan a lot of problems...

Aiden McGeady

Irish winger Aiden McGeady arrived at Deepdale on transfer deadline day back in September.

After scoring a cracker on his debut, he showed glimpses of his Premier League quality but his spell in the side was interrupted by injury.

But in the last month, the Everton loanee has been in fine form and has shown just what a dangerous player he can be on his day.

Most recently, he scored twice and assisted a goal in the 4-2 victory over Brentford, followed by another great display against Birmingham in which he assisted another and wowed the fans with his silky skills (see video).

Daryl Horgan

While most people will probably know a lot about McGeady from his time at Celtic and in the Premier League, they may be a little less aware of the threat that Daryl Horgan poses.

The Irishman, who recently signed from Dundalk, looks likely to start on the opposite side to McGeady after impressing in recent games for the Whites.

Horgan is a very quick and agile player who has shown in his short North End career that he is more than capable of crossing a ball into the box as well as beating his man.

If he is given too much space by the Wigan full-backs then they could pay the price.
