Since replacing Philippe Montanier as Nottingham Forest manager in January, Gary Brazil has had a mixed bag of results.

Brazil won three from his first four games in-charge of Forest, easing the club’s relegation fears momentarily.

Forest have since suffered three consecutive league defeats, leaving them just six-points above the bottom-three.

Despite the club’s season hanging in the balance, Brazil has opted to use younger players in his side, with many of them not letting their manager down.

These players combined with top goal scorer Britt Assombalonga, and January addition Ross McCormack, have a chance of lighting up the City Ground between now and May, and also guiding the club to safety.

Forest fans were disappointed with the departure of Oliver Burke during the summer, with the youngster moving to German outfit, Red Bull Leipzig.

The winger’s departure paved the way for more of Forest’s youngsters to grab their opportunity in the first-team.

Here is a look at TWO of Forest’s young stars who could be worth some serious money in years to come…

Zach Clough

21-year old forward Clough joined Forest during the January transfer window from Bolton Wanderers, and comes with a fantastic reputation.

Since breaking onto the scene in 2015, Clough scored 21 goals in just over 50 appearances for Bolton, and was a standout performer despite the Trotters’ relegation to League One.

Clough has made three appearances for Forest since his arrival and has shown glimpses of why the club were so keen to bring him to the City Ground.

If Clough can replicate his goal scoring form in Nottingham, then he is sure to be a hit with the Forest faithful.

This combined with his current age, mean he could be worth an absolute fortune to Forest in the near future.

Ben Brereton

Brereton has impressed during his breakthrough campaign at the City Ground, and has come to the attention of Liverpool and Manchester United.

The striker scored the winning goal in Forest’s recent victory over Aston Villa, and is becoming an important part of Brazil’s team, also finding the net in a 3-2 defeat to Fulham.

The 17-year old has prevented McCormack from a consistent run of games in the first-team since his arrival from Villa, and also kept Assombalonga out of Saturday’s defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

If Brereton can continue to develop he will become one of the most sought after players in English football, with surely more than just Liverpool and Manchester United after his signature.
