Leeds United will be preparing themselves for what is potentially the biggest game of their season so far.

In the early kick-off on Saturday, Garry Monk's side take on Yorkshire neighbours and promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road.

However, the Whites go into the game having lost a bit of momentum with recent results.

Although it's not too much of a cause for concern, they only have one win in their last four games and they will be looking to fix that when Sheffield Wednesday visit.

The Owls are level on points with Leeds and missed the chance to leapfrog their local rivals when they lost at home to Brentford last night.

This game is vital for both sides as they peer over their shoulder at seventh placed Norwich City - a win would take either side ten clear of the Canaries ahead of their derby match with Ipswich on Sunday.

Here are 2 players who Monk should start as they attempt to fix their recent bad form.

Liam Bridcutt

Eunan O'Kane and Ronaldo Vieira have been performing well in midfield but perhaps Liam Bridcutt is better suited to a derby match than Vieira.

This is because the Scotsman is an experienced player to have at this level and he is more likely to have the temperament to see through an important game like this.

The defensive midfielder is returning from injury and appears to be fully fit again so this is the time to blood him back into the starting XI.

Mo Barrow

Leeds are spoiled for choices in attacking midfield but they need to rotate the pack to keep everyone happy, fresh and determined to perform.

Stuart Dallas scored in the last game and Pablo Hernandez continues to be impressive so Hadi Sacko might get the axe for this weekend.

Perhaps it's time for Mo Barrow to start?

The Swansea loanee has only managed three substitute cameos so far and deserves his chance to impressive from the start.

The 24-year-old could cause Daniel Pudil (who could start if Morgan Fox is not fit) all kinds of problems with his pace and this might make a big difference.
