Birmingham City are going through some seriously tough times down at St Andrews and there's genuine thought that Gianfranco Zola might not last much longer if results don't pick up very quickly indeed.

Things have spiralled for the Blues since Gary Rowett left the club a matter of months ago and despite swiftly appointing the Italian, things have fallen apart and a relegation fight is looking more and more likely at St Andrews.

Supporters are growing frustrated with what they've seen on the pitch from the players and off-the-field, things look unorganised and messy- a far cry from what we saw under former manager Gary Rowett.

But with a handful of bright young stars coming through the academy, there's hope amongst the fans that if they can get some play-time under their belts, they could help lead the revival under Zola.

So with that in mind, here's TWO young Birmingham stars that will be worth serious money in the years to come...

Reece Brown

Reece Brown is always a player who has been tipped for bright things at St Andrews but for whatever reason, he's never been given the opportunity to play regularly under either Gary Rowett or Gianfranco Zola.

He's currently on-loan with League One outfit Chesterfield as he aims to force his way into first-team plans at Birmingham but there's no reason why he shouldn't be able to do that, especially having had trials with the likes of West Ham a couple of years ago.

He needs to be playing regularly but if he can find his best form, he could be yet another emerging English star to come from St Andrews, which could mean a big pay-day for the club, if they move him on.

Jack Storer

Birmingham fans love a local lad and they don't come anymore local than Jack Storer, who is back in consideration for the first-team having been sent on-loan by Gary Rowett earlier this season.

He's got a temper but a real eye for goal and if he can harness that and turn it into quality on the pitch, the future could look seriously bright for the 19-year-old forward.
