Sky Bet League One is proving to be another exciting and competitive division with a number of teams chasing automatic promotion, but also the scrap for survival is particularly close, alongside the race to reach the play-offs.

Scunthorpe and Sheffield United are both leading the pack at the moment but Bolton Wanderers and Fleetwood Town aren't too far behind, they'll be doing all they can in their attempt to gain promotion to the Championship.

Some clubs would have been looking to improve their playing squads in January, and that's what a number of teams have done.

Although a lot have lost their star players as well; the Trotters lost Zach Clough at the very last minute to Nottingham Forest in the league above and Bristol Rovers sold striker Matty Taylor to rivals City.

But we should look at the positives and see the 3 best January signings in League One. Do you agree?

3) Jed Wallace to Millwall

Jed Wallace has signed on loan at Millwall from Championship outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers, for the second time having enjoyed a successful spell in London last season.

The 22 year-old winger, or attacking midfielder, joined the Lions in mid-January and is almost a fan favourite at The New Den.

Wallace has appeared twice for his new team since arrival, who've gained four points in that period.

In my opinion, this is one of the stand-out announcements of last month.

He may not be known by a lot, but he does offer determination and still has potential in his locker as well.

2) Jake Forster-Caskey to Charlton

The midfielder was quite an early transfer in the winter window, signing for Charlton Athletic from Championship leaders Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

Jake Forster-Caskey had spent several loan spells away from the Seagulls and was still unable to get regular first-team football under Chris Hughton which promoted the move to switch the south coast for central London.

He has played in just one match for Karl Robinson's squad, which came in their 2-1 away victory over Bolton Wanderers in the last week of January.

Charlton lie 13th in the League One table but supporters should be ecstatic with this arrival. Forster-Caskey has pedrigree to get them out of that division and that will help the Addicks in their late, possible play-off push.

1) Charlie Wyke to Bradford

The 24 year-old arrives at Bradford City with a prolific season already, having scored 18 goals for Carlisle United in the division below.

Charlie Wyke spent two years in Cumbria after racking up 77 appearances and netted on 32 occasions, a feat that's difficult to complete in the fourth-tier of English football.

The Bantams sold James Hanson to promotion rivals Sheffield United and needed a replacement, and got their man on deadline day just hours before the window closed.

Wyke's career has mostly been spent with Middlesbrough but unable to play a match for the Teeside outfit, the forward was shipped out on loan to a number of teams - including Hartlepool United and AFC Wimbledon.

He signed too late to feature for Bradford on Tuesday night but is likely to make his debut at the weekend when Gillingham visit Valley Parade.
