Aston Villa are hoping to add some more faces in the final days of the January transfer window, after a fairly busy window already.

The addition of Henri Lansbury was a superb piece of business by Steve Bruce and his club, and if some of the rumours in the press are to be believed, then the Villa team could look somewhat different come February.

Ross McCormack is one who could be on his way out, and this will free up some funds a fair chunk of wage budget for Bruce to play with.

It's been a season of under achievement though for Villa, and any quality additions to the team as the window draws to a close would be no doubt welcome.

With that in mind, we take a look at how Aston Villa could line up come February if some of the transfer rumours are to believed...

GK - Sam Johnstone

New signing Johnstone has gone straight in as number one at Villa Park, and he looks to be a solid addition.

The former Man United man looks to be the man for Bruce, and he should have a long career ahead of him for the club.

RB - James Bree

Barnsley right back Bree has been linked with a move to Villa Park for most of January, and he looks a smart prospect.

Another one off the Barnsley production line, some are even saying Bree has more talent than John Stones, a very big compliment indeed.

CB - James Chester

Welsh international Chester has become a regular at the back for Villa and is in little danger of losing his place. An excellent defender, Chester has asserted himself at the back for Villa since his big money move in the summer.

CB - Nathan Baker

Baker has usurped Tommy Elphick as Chester's partner at the heart of the defence, and is doing well enough.

It would be a surprise to see Baker replaced at this stage of the season.

LB - Jordan Amavi

One of the better players in the Villa squad, Amavi has returned to fitness this season and looks excellent.

He will only improve with more game time under his belt, and looks an excellent player in the making.

CM - Conor Hourihane

Midfielder Hourihane is expected to complete a move to Villa from Barnsley soon, and he will be an excellent addition.

The classy central midfielder has oozed class for Barnsley, and the step up in class shouldn't prove too much trouble for him.

CM - Henri Lansbury

New signing Lansbury impressed in his first appearance at the weekend, and he will no doubt be one of the first names on the team sheet now.

A class act, the former Forest man is an excellent piece of business for the Villans.

RW - Modou Barrow

Swansea man Barrow has been linked with a move to the Midlands club of late, and he would be a superb signing.

Electric pace and Premier League quality would mean Villa would be getting an excellent player in their ranks.

LW - Jack Grealish

Homegrown talent Grealish has flourished this term at times, and under Bruce looks to be finding his way in the game.

There is no doubt about Grealish's talent, he just needs to keep showing it on a consistent basis.

CAM - Tom Cairney

Fulham man Cairney has been linked with Villa in January, and he has been one of the standout players in the Championship this term.

Cairney is excellent on the ball, with a keen eye for goal, and would no doubt add immense quality to the eleven at Villa.

STR - Jordan Rhodes

Rhodes has been one touted around numerous clubs, but he continues to be linked with Aston Villa.

The former Blackburn and Huddersfield man is a proven performer at Championship level, and would no doubt bang in the goals for Bruce and the Villans if given the chance.
