Birmingham City have sold out their initial allocation for the upcoming fixture with Leeds United, as confirmed by their official Twitter feed.

The game, scheduled for October 19th, is bound to have a red-hot atmosphere, especially with the large travelling contingent. Both clubs are amongst the biggest in the division and whilst it not be a rivalry in the traditional sense, it will certainly create a great spectacle.

Leeds are currently fifth in the table, with the Blues down in 12th but only four points behind Marcelo Bielsa's side. Pep Clotet will be keen to lock horns with the Argentinian at Elland Road, knowing a win will likely keep them in touch with the top six.

Blues supporters are clearly delighted their team have sold out their allocation. In the modern era of social media, clubs are always looking for reasons to claim they're bigger than someone else and ticket sales are a strong barometer of how 'big' a club is in some people's eyes.

They've been quick to jump on social media to applaud their support in what should be one of the games of the season so far in the second tier.
