Premier League outfit Swansea City sent scouts to watch Leeds United star Sam Byram in their 1-1 draw against Brentford on Saturday, a club insider from Leeds United has confirmed to Football League World.

Could Sam Byram be moving to West Ham this month?

The 21-year-old starlet has become a key player for Uwe Rosler's Leeds side as he continues to become a fan favourite at Elland Road.

Performing at a high level at such a young age is become the starlet's trademark, whilst his versatility is fast becoming a trait that renders him a high quality player.

Able to pay at right-back or on the wing, Byram has consistently played well for the West Yorkshire side and has subsequently become a player sought after by a number of clubs.

FLW have been informed by the club insider that Swansea boss Garry Monk is the most recent manager to be interested in the services of Byram, as he looks to add youth talent to his Premier League squad.

Whether or not this will tempt Byram away from Leeds United remains to be seen, but what remains clear is that interest for his services is only getting more severe.

However, the youngster's form has dipped recently after Uwe Rosler has admitted to Eurosport that transfer speculation is unsettling the player.

Leeds have been subject to a great deal of interest for the youngster and speaking about Byram's situation, Leeds boss Uwe Rosler said to the Yorkshire Evening Post: "He [Byram] knows the team welcome him to stay here and I very much welcome him to stay. But he also knows about his responsibility to keep improving.

"To be honest, the transfer window has affected him like it affects many other players who've been in similar situations at other clubs. We aren't the only club who've faced that problem."
