Premier League sides Sunderland and Hull have been alerted by the availability of Reading's Welsh full-back Chris Gunter, according to the Daily Mirror.

With a £1 million buy-out clause, it is looking increasingly likely that Reading's vastly experienced full-back Chris Gunter will leave the Berkshire club this summer.

Chris Gunter was a part of Wales' resilient defensive unit that impressed not only to help Wales qualify for the European Championships, but to help surpass any expectations of Wales as they reached the semi-finals in France.

Chris Gunter's performances attracted attention from a number of Championship and Premier League sides earlier in the summer.

It has emerged that the two clubs in the driving seat for Chris Gunter's signature are Premier League sides Sunderland and Hull City.

It is yet to be seen which of these clubs will meet Reading's buyout clause figure and which club can be the more enticing prospect for Chris Gunter to move to, but what does look inevitable is Gunter's departure from Reading this summer.

Reading fans, how do you feel about the news? Would you be disappointed to see Chris Gunter leave? Should the club be looking to sell him?
