Preparations are underway at Stoke City ahead of Nathan Jones' first full season in charge.

The Potters finished a disappointing 16th in their first season back in the Championship and Jones has been active over the summer to bring a number of new faces.

Six players have arrived at the Bet365 Stadium in the window, with Huddersfield Town defender Tommy Smith reportedly set to be the seventh.

Left-back Erik Pieters is the only player to have been sold by the Potters but rumours have been circling about the future of Jack Butland, who has regularly been linked with a move back to the Premier League.

Jones' squad are currently at a pre-season training camp in the Netherlands preparing for the start of the Championship season, which begins for them in 22 days against QPR.

Here, we take a look at how the players are preparing for the new season on social media…

Jordan Cousins

One player who will be looking to impress his new manager and teammates during pre-season is Cousins.

The 25-year-old joined this summer on a free transfer from QPR and could be a real asset for Jones after impressing at Loftus Road last season.

It seems the midfielder is working hard to grab himself a spot in the starting line up and he

Etebo

Etebo is yet to join up with the Stoke squad as his Nigeria side have made it to the African Cup of Nations semi-final, where they're due to face Algeria on Sunday.

The 23-year-old was given honours for his impact last season and it seems he has carried that form into the tournament.

The central midfielder has featured in every game for Nigeria, helping them win all but one of their matches so far.

Etebo posted an image of the national side on his Instagram, thanking all the Nigerian fans for their support ahead of the game on Sunday.

Tyrese Campbell

The 19-year-old striker will be hoping to prove to Jones during pre-season that he is ready to be a first-team regular at Stoke.

Campbell impressed on loan at Shrewsbury Town in the second half of last season, scoring five goals in 15 appearances and winning the EFL Young Player of the Month award for February.

The forward has played just 10 times for the senior side and will be hoping to force himself into consideration ahead of the new season.

After the arrival of Nick Powell, Jones has a real depth of quality in his forward line and Campbell will have to work hard if he is to nail down a place in the squad.
