West Bromwich Albion midfielder Filip Krovinovic has shared a snap on Instagram during his recent holiday, after bumping into a familiar face.

The promotion-winner had flown back to Croatia for some rest and recuperation following the Baggies return to the Premier League, but he could not leave West Brom behind completely, bumping into fellow Baggy Matheus Pereira.

Sharing a snap of themselves, Krovinovic took to Instagram, saying: "When you can’t get rid of a stalker @matheuspereira even on your vacation in my home country 😂😂❤️ #Bromance".

24-year-old Krovinovic arrived in the West Midlands last summer as one of Slaven Bilic's first signings, joining on loan from Benfica, but his impact was limited, scoring just four goals in 40 appearances.

Quiz: Are these 10 facts about West Brom actually true?

Pereira, on the other hand, was a revelation.

The Brazilian, who joined on loan from Sporting Lisbon, netted eight goals and racked up 20 assists in 42 second-tier appearances becoming one of the stand-out performers in the division.

It was revealed earlier this week that talks with Krovinovic over a permanent deal were progressing, with Pereira also expected to join on a full-time basis this summer.

The verdict

This is the sort of picture that fans of any football club love to see.

It is clear that Krovinovic and Pereira struck up a real friendship during their time at The Hawthorns and West Brom fans will be desperate to see the pair back together at the start of next season.

West Brom face a real test in the Premier League, even with these two back on board, so it is essential that deals are completed early this window to give Bilic the best chance of keeping them up.
