Nottingham Forest will be looking to make it two wins in a matter of days, as they prepare to take on Charlton Athletic at The Valley on Wednesday night.

The Reds picked up their first league win of the campaign on Saturday afternoon, brushing aside Birmingham City by three goals to nil after strikes from Joe Lolley, Lewis Grabban and Michael Dawson.

After such an impressive display going forward, Sabri Lamouchi reiterated the importance of keeping the foot firmly on the gas, and switching their attention to their next game which comes against Charlton tomorrow.

The Addicks certainly aren't a team to be underestimated either - Lee Bowyer's side sit 2nd in the league standings after picking up seven points from their first three league games.

After thrashing Stoke City by three goals to one in front of their home fans last time out, it should be a big test for Forest, and Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has offered his prediction on the upcoming clash.

He said: "There is an awful long way to go but Charlton have had an excellent start to life back in the Championship. The way they battled back twice at Barnsley for a draw on Saturday showed their resolve as well.

"Sabri Lamouchi got his first win in charge of Nottingham Forest on Saturday, which will help settle things for him a little. I do, however, think this will be a draw."

Charlton battled hard to grind out a late, late point against Barnsley at the weekend - Lyle Taylor converting from the penalty spot in the 89th minute to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

The Verdict

Charlton have made such an impressive start to the Championship season, and I back them to pick up all three points again tomorrow night.

They have made The Valley such a fortress over the past year or so, and they are going to be buoyed on by the recent arrival of Brighton forward Tomer Hemed.

Forest were excellent against Birmingham at the weekend, but they will have to be at the top of their game on Wednesday evening.
