Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers are considering making a move for free agent Danny Gabbidon, according to FLW sources.

The Welsh centre-back has a wealth of experience having spent the majority of his career playing in the top-flight of English football.

The 34-year-old is now a free agent after being released from Crystal Palace at the end of last season.

Gabbidon spent two years at Crystal Palace between 2012 and 2014 and he amassed 33 appearances for Tony Pulis' side.

The experienced defender made his name most notably at Cardiff City and West Ham, where he accumulated 193 appearances for the former and 96 for the latter.

Both Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday are eyeing a move for the free agent who is likely to take a step down to the Championship next season.

The Championship duo are eager to enhance their backline and add an element of experience to help sure up their defence before the new season.
