Barnsley fell to a disappointing 4-2 defeat to Stoke City at Oakwell to leave themselves at the bottom of the Championship table.

Michael O'Neill was only appointed as Stoke's new manager earlier this week, but he seems to have made an instant impact with this group of players who certainly took their chances on the day.

Sam Clucas gave the Potters the lead, which was then doubled after Lee Gregory fired home from the penalty spot.

Cameron McGeehan pulled a goal back for Barnsley shortly after half-time, but goals from Joe Allen and Clucas in quick succession gave Stoke some much-needed breathing space.

Patrick Schmidt scored a late consolation for Adam Murray's side, but they were unable to pull themselves clear of some of their relegation rivals.

Plenty of Barnsley fans took to social media to issue their thoughts on their side's latest showing.
