QPR are keeping tabs on Gray

According to the report, new Brentford boss Marinus Dijkhuizen has his first task as manager in trying to keep hold of Gray.

The 23-year-old has only spent one year playing at Championship level, but his performances have been very impressive since joining from Luton Town last summer.

Gray had been constantly among the goals for Brentford in his first season, contributing 17 goals in 47 appearances for the Bees this season.

Rangers are attempting to build a squad capable of winning promotion and they feel that Gray could be a vital addition.

The club want to change their approach to new signings, with the London side looking to freshen their side up by signing young and hungry players and they feel that the young striker would fit that category.

Gray could become QPR's third signing of the summer so far, having brought in Swindon duo Ben Gladwin and Massimo Luongo, who both play in midfield.
