Ian Holloway has praised the summer business that Fulham have done, with new recruits Ivan Cavaleiro and Anthony Knockaert starring in the recent win over Millwall.

Scott Parker's side completely dominated the Lions, having an incredible 85% of possession and they ran out 4-0 winners.

Two from Cavaleiro, one from Knockaert and an Aleksandar Mitrovic penalty sealed the impressive victory and it means the Cottagers have now won three of their first four games.

The new additions have made a big difference and Holloway told EFL on Quest that the Londoners have been brilliant in the market, although he picked out one new signing as the key man, and it's one that hasn't attracted the attention that some of his teammates have - midfielder Harry Arter.

"This summer, their signings have been outstanding. Ivan Cavaleiro, great goal, just fantastic. You’ve got Anthony Knockaert, unbelievable. You’ve got a clone of Sessegnon, his brother.

"He’s (Arter) the bricks and water for me, he makes everything work. He keeps everything together and his fighting spirit is just like an image of Scott Parker himself, I’m delighted for him."

The Verdict

On paper, this Fulham side look formidable and most would agree that they have the best squad in the league, particularly with their options in the final third.

Of course, that counts for little and it's about delivering on the pitch but the early signs are positive and the dominant display in the week will really have pleased Parker.

Holloway is right in that Arter has been key too, with his work-rate and unselfish play crucial in helping those around him flourish. Now, it's about continuing on this bright start against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
