According to the Reading Chronicle, Crystal Palace midfielder Jordon Mutch has said that he would like to stay at Reading after his loan deal expires in the summer.

Currently on a half season loan deal, which is set to expire at the end of the 2016/17 campaign, Mutch has revealed that he would "definitely like" to make his deal permanent this summer.

The former Birmingham and Cardiff man was surplus to requirements at Crystal Palace earlier this season.

He managed just four Premier League appearances for the Eagles before joining Reading on loan on deadline day.

The 25-year-old netted on his debut and now he wants to stay at the Madejski Stadium.

Mutch told the Reading Chronicle:

"I had seen Reading play before this season, I was really excited about the way they play and it was a place that I wanted to come to.

I would definitely like to remain here beyond the end of the season, of course we will take it as it goes for now and see where we are at at the end of the season.

Lots can change between now and then but I wouldn’t have come if I didn’t see myself staying here.”
