Nottingham Forest have lined up West Bromwich Albion assistant manager, Ben Garner, as the man to fill their vacant manager's role, according to a report in Monday's Sun newspaper (page 15, Goals pull-out).

Gary Brazil has been placed in caretaker charge since Philippe Montanier's departure earlier this month, but it now seems Forest are stepping up the search for his replacement.

West Brom assistant, Ben Garner, is on Fawaz Al-Hasawi's list of potential suitors for the managerial hot-seat and the Sun believes that he is keen to speak to Garner about taking over.

The report also outlines that Forest made a move to bring Fulham boss to the City Ground whilst the takeover was still in progress.

However, with the reported take over from the American Consortium, lead by John Jay Moores, collapsing, Jokanovic was suddenly out of the picture.

With Garner working under Tony Pulis for so long, it is likely that he would bring a solid style of play to Forest, getting them organised at the back, which could be exactly what they need.
