It's not been the season that Rekeem Harper would have wanted at West Brom.

After breaking through into the first-team last season at the Baggies, he was expected to become a prominent figure in the middle of the park, however that simply has not been the case.

The 20-year-old has made just six appearances for Slaven Bilic's side this season, and has found it hard to oust Jake Livermore or Romaine Sawyers for a central midfield berth, with them both enjoying strong seasons.

With no immediate pathway into the starting eleven at the moment for the £2.25m-rated player it begs the question as to whether Harper should be kept on into next season, or perhaps be offloaded or loaned out.

At Harper's age, he needs to start playing football more regularly and at present it is not guaranteed at West Brom, with it becoming even harder if the Midlands club do secure promotion to the top-flight.

So, we decided to ask West Bromwich Albion Fanzone group on Facebook what their thoughts were with regards to Harper, and whether keeping or moving him on was the best option.

Lets take a look at how these Baggies fans reacted, it's clear there was a split in this particular debate....

Stephen Howse: Keep

Neil Hoare: Depends if we go up and whose coming in

Ash Chambers: Loan him out.

Jonathan James Briscoe: Offload

Ad Mander: keep thinking he will develop and be one of those players we regret letting go

Jay Davies New: Keep

Tracy Lloyd: Keep him we will regret it if we sell him

Mark Bolton: Personally I don't think he's ready for premier football, that's if we go up just yet needs to mature a little bit, he tends to spit his dummy out to often for me imo

Darren Lyons: Off load him he thinks the Albion owe him something

Alison Carter: Keep him he’s one for the future and will learn from Livermore and sawyers

Tom Sedgwick: He needs to be loaned out and get some experience, no way is he ready for the prem, whenever I've seen him play you can tell he has the talent, but his positioning and his lack of tracking back need to improve immensely, plus he needs to be more consistent

Gareth Morris: Poor attitude. Offload

Margaret Hopkins: Keep and perhaps loan him out
