Welsh Internation Blake, hopes for new Newport Deal.
Darcy Blake is training with the club this week

Plymouth Argyle have boosted their defensive ranks by adding Anthony O'Connor to their squad on a six-month loan from Blackburn Rovers.

The 21 year-old, who is yet to make a first-team appearance for his parent club, will stay at Home Park until January, providing competition for the centre back and right back spots with his versatility.

He spent last season on loan to Torquay United and the season before with Burton Albion on a temporary basis, making this his third straight campaign in the fourth tier.

Argyle also confirmed that former Crystal Palace defender Darcy Blake, the former Welsh international who had a loan spell with Plymouth in 2009, is training with the League Two side this week after being released by Newport County at the end of last season.
