Nottingham Forest have had a shocking start to to their new year.

With results not going their way resulting in a poor league position, the collapse of the takeover by a US consortium led by John Jay Moores and now the club are without a manager after Philippe Montanier was sacked by current owner Fawaz Al Hasawi.

Sitting in 20th position, only three points off the bottom the three, the Reds are crying out for a new manager to come in, pick up some positive results and sign some players before it is too late.

Forest fans will be praying for some positive news soon after a torrid time in recent years under the ownership of Fawaz Al Hasawi, but if the current matters are not dealt with you sense it is only going to get worse for the club.

So here are TWO things Nottingham Forest must be fearful of happening during the January transfer window.....

Losing Henri Lansbury

Unfortunately for Nottingham Forest fans it looks incredibly unlikely that Henri Lansbury will play for the Reds by the end of the January, with a move away believed to be imminent.

After not being in the right frame of mind to play the last two games, Lansbury is likely to depart the City Ground to a side offering more wages.

According to the Nottingham Post, Lansbury could choose to play in Saturday's game against Bristol City but a move away is still likely even if he does.

Not signing any players in time

The longer Forest take to appoint a manager, the more risk there is of the club not signing any players.

The Reds desperately need to sign some players to help move them up the table and away from the bottom three and the new manager will need to come in and do this quickly.

In their current situation, Forest may find it hard to attract the quality to help keep them in the league and supporters must be fearful of this.
