Nottingham Forest could be lining up a move for Mali international midfielder Abdou Traore, according to Get French Football, via L’Equipe.
The 28-year-old midfielder currently plays in the French league for Bordeaux, and his performances have attracted the attention of Championship side Forest, who are looking to add to their midfield with the impending departure of Henri Lansbury.
He has been in Bordeaux since 2008, but recently has found himself playing for the B team after falling out of favour with the first team.
Traore would be a welcome addition to the City Ground, with his all action style something which has impressed current Reds manager Philippe Montanier. However, it remains to be seen whether Montanier will be still be the man at the helm once the next few weeks are over with, with Forest set to be taken over and Montanier’s position under threat.
The two time European champions have endured a miserable season this term, sitting well within a relegation dog fight after losing star man Olly Burke at the start of the season.
Forest fans, what do you think? What do you know of Traore? Give us your thoughts in the comments!
