Michail Antonio and Michael Mancienne are both keen on moves away from Nottingham Forest, according to Daniel Taylor of the Guardian.

Antonio may be one of the players to leave Forest

Taylor has tweeted stating that amongst the pressure piled on Forest to keep their star players, Antonio and Mancienne have both told the club they want to leave.

When asked by a fan whether Forest have any incoming signings on the horizon, he responded with: "not sure on any ins, all I really know is Antonio/Mancienne both want to go, so its not a great situation".

The highly-rated winger and versatile defender have both been crucial players for Forest over the last year, consistently performing to high levels throughout a number of tough periods at the club.

With poor form, financial difficulties and unrest amongst fans continuously proving a problem at Forest, the news that two of their best players want to leave will increase the negative aura surrounding the club.

Antonio has been subject to a bid from Premier League side West Ham United recently, reportedly to have been in the region of £4m with Matt Jarvis coming the other way on loan. Similarly, Dougie Freedman has not denied that a bid has been made for Michael Mancienne from Fulham.

With Antonio attracted to the heights of Premier League football and Mancienne keen to move back home to London, it is going to be difficult for Forest to keep the two star players.

Before the end of the transfer window on Tuesday, owner Fawaz Al Hasawi is going to be in a tough position when facing more bids for the players that Forest fans love.

There is no doubt that this will be a hit to Forest's season but, with Freedman keen to add to his squad, only time will tell whether Freedman's men can improve on last season and build a squad the fans can be proud of.
