Nottingham Forest boss, Philippe Montanier, is on course to be axed this week, according to a report by The Daily Star.
The club’s American takeover is expected to be completed very soon, and one of the first decisions they will make whilst in charge is to relive Montanier of his duties.
The 52-year-old only took over at the City Ground in the summer, but a poor season so far has lead to Forest being dangerously close to the drop zone.
Forest are 20th in the Championship, just two points above the drop zone and winless in their last six, and seemingly in freefall.
There has been talk of Montanier being sacked in the last few months, but the Forest board have stuck by him in the hope that results would take a turn for the better, but they haven’t, and now the new American owners finally look set to end Montanier’s torrid time in charge of Forest.
