The Canaries made a £2 million bid for the ex-Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder in the January transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise.

However, FLW understands that Alex Neil's side are keen to reignite their interest in the Cardiff winger, and are eyeing a potential summer bid for the midfielder.

The winger has been somewhat in and out of the Cardiff City starting line-up this season, but still has managed to accumulate 31 appearances for Russell Slade's side this season.

Noone, 27,  has had previous Football League experience at Brighton, Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City prior to his move to Cardiff City in 2012.

Norwich City currently sit in second place in the Sky Bet Championship, having accrued 82 points from 43 league games.

Alex Neil's men have only lost once in their previous 10 league games, and have won five games consecutively in the division.

The Canaries defeated Leeds United at Elland Road 2-0 last night, courtesy of goals from Jonny Howson and Graham Dorrans.
