Barry Bannan has sent a message to fans after Sheffield Wednesday's 2-1 comeback win against Brentford, which has been well received by many Owls supporters.

It always looked as if it would be a stern test for Garry Monk's side on Saturday as their opponents arrived in Yorkshire with three wins in their last four games and on the back of hammering Luton Town 7-0.

Bryan Mbeumbo nodded in a corner just before the half-hour mark to give the visitors a first-half lead.

However, two goals in four minutes from striker Steven Fletcher helped to turn the game around at Hillsborough and ensure that the three points stayed in South Yorkshire.

In the 69th minute, Fletcher leveled for Wednesday from the penalty spot after Rico Henry's handball.

The Scotsman scored the winner four minutes later by collecting Kadeem Harris' cross and finishing on the turn.

The result means the Owls climb back into the Championship top six.

Bannan took to Twitter over the weekend to send a passionate message to his teammates and fans of the Yorkshire club.

Wednesday are facing a potential points deduction after they were charged with misconduct by the EFL.

However, it appears spirits remain high among many Owls fans, who took to Twitter to send messages of encouragement to Bannan.
