Ipswich Town missed a chance to go back to the summit of League One yesterday after being held by a resilient Doncaster side at Portman Road.

The Tractor Boys were more than matches by Darren Moore's side, with little goalmouth action for either team to get excited about.

Whilst it is a clean sheet and a valuable point, it has to be classed as a missed opportunity for Ipswich. With Coventry drawing against Burton, a win would have put Paul Lambert's side top by a point, as well as having a game in hand over the team below them.

With a tough encounter at MK Dons this Tuesday, Ipswich's failure to kill off the organised Rovers side could come back to haunt them.

The home supporters certainly weren't excited by the draw. With Ipswich amongst the favourites for promotion, they perhaps expect a free-flowing performance every week. Their early outings have suggested that they might deliver eye-catching football for the success-starved Portman Road fans, but this week they didn't turn up.

That's certainly the feeling of these fans on Twitter, who weren't impressed by their sides failure to deal with the Doncaster rearguard.
