Charlton Athletic welcome Fulham to the Valley today as a London derby concludes the Sky Bet Championship weekend.

Addicks boss Guy Luzon is in talks to sign the defender
Guy Luzon's Charlton will look to get back to winning ways when they host Fulham this afternoon (12pm kick-off)

Addicks manager Guy Luzon can welcome back defender Alou Diarra after suspension, and may also give a start to forward Karlan Ahearne-Grant after he came off of the bench last weekend to score his first goal for the club in their 2-1 loss against Cardiff City.

Fulham midfielder Tom Cairney will miss the clash as he starts a three-match ban, following the straight red card he received in their midweek defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

But the visitors will have defender James Husband available to play after his loan from Middlesbrough was extended.

Both sides sit close to each other in the league standings after both finding it hard to gain any consistency.

The Addicks haven't won at home since their 2-1 win over Hull City in mid August and have lost four of their last five league games. However, their recent record against Kit Symons' side will give the fans some optimism, as the hosts have only lost one of the last nine meetings at the Valley.

Fulham put in an exceptional performance against West London rivals Queens Park Rangers a week ago, beating Chris Ramsey's side 4-0, but after slipping to a 3-0 defeat at home to Wolves in the week, Symons will be looking to get back to winning ways.

In Ross McCormack they have one of the most in-form strikers in the division. The former Cardiff man has already netted six times this season, two of which came in that 4-0 battering of QPR last weekend.

A win, which would lift either side to 13th in the table, would be huge in helping both sides gain some much needed momentum to carry into the rest of the season.
