The Rams have had a turbulent summer since their Championship play-off final defeat to Aston Villa, with Phillip Cocu replacing Frank Lampard as the club's manager following the latter's switch to Chelsea.
But Derby did manage to appoint Cocu swiftly following Lampard's departure, which means he has been granted plenty of time to work with his squad before the season starts next month.
