According to The Coventry Telegraph, Cian Harries has returned to Coventry City following an unsuccessful trial period with Premier League giants Liverpool.
The young defender trained with Liverpool’s academy and featured for their under-23 side in a 6-0 win over Bangor.
Cian Harries reportedly impressed in that match but it appears that Liverpool have since decided against offering him a deal.
The Wales youth international is a left-footed centre half, who shows maturity beyond his years in his style of play.
The 19-year-old is expected to go straight back into the Coventry squad for tonight’s Checkatrade Trophy clash with Brighton under-21s as Coventry face a bit of a defensive crisis.
New arrivals Nathan Clarke and Sam Foley are cup tied whilst Jordan Turnbull is suspended and Jordan Willis remains injured.
Harries is expected to slot back into the back four with the teenager now expected to stay with the Sky Blues beyond this window.
