Queens Park Rangers continued their recent good run of form in the Championship on Tuesday night as they defeated Derby County 2-1 at Loftus Road to move up to 12th in the table.

Mark Warburton's side took the lead through Grant Hall's strike in the first half, which was quickly cancelled out as Derby's Martyn Waghorn levelled the scoring shortly before the break.

Ilias Chair proved to be the match winner for Rangers with fifteen minutes left to play, as he latched onto Ebere Eze's through pass and slotted home past Ben Hamer to seal the points.

Things could've been very different, however, if Liam Kelly did not make a last-ditch save to deny the Rams.  The QPR stopper produced a point-blank stop near the end of the game to maintain the west London side's advantage.

The 24-year-old has impressed between the posts in recent games, claiming the Number 1 spot from Joe Lumley. He made his 17th appearance of the season against Derby.

Kelly took to Twitter after the match to share an upbeat message as QPR extended their unbeaten run to four matches.

The Verdict

Kelly has looked impressive in goal since reclaiming the Number 1 jersey from Joe Lumley, and has managed to keep two clean sheets in his last four games for the club.

That wasn't to be against Derby, but nevertheless, the 24-year-old made a total of three key saves during the course of the game, showing that he made a big impact.

He will be looking to keep his good run of form going against Birmingham this weekend.
