Leeds United are looking well on course for a playoff place this season under Garry Monk.

At the time of writing, the Whites were preparing for a crucial game against a Sheffield Wednesday side coming off the back of a home defeat against Brentford.

However, manager Monk will know Leeds will need to be at their very best for the game, and will be hoping his team can come away with the three points.

One of the key things this season for Leeds has been Monk's ability to bring in exciting new players and blend them quickly with players currently in the squad at Elland Road. He will no doubt have his eye on targets for the summer as well, regardless of which league they end up in.

One place Monk could choose to look is League One, where there is a plethora of talent available who could no doubt play at a higher level given the chance.

With this in mind, we take a look at TWO League One stars Leeds United should look to sign this summer...

Marcus Maddison

The Peterborough man has been in good form for a number of seasons now, and under the right manager looks the sort of player who could thrive at the higher level.

Leeds would be wise to make a move for Maddison, who's ability to play both wide and up front are of great use.

Maddison can chip in with crucial goals and also provide plenty of assists, and this is something which any team looks out for when in the market for new players.

Ben Stevenson

Young midfielder Stevenson has been excellent for Coventry and looks to be a real talent who can go far in the game.

At just 19 years of age, Stevenson has a huge career ahead of him and is someone many Championship teams will have their eye on.

Stevenson could well get a move this summer, with the Sky Blues looking like being embroiled in the relegation battle right to the death.
