Leeds United are one of nine Sky Bet Championship clubs who have had a loan bid turned down for Leicester City striker Tom Lawrence, according to the Daily Mail.

Lawrence is attracting a lot of interest

Lawrence, 21, currently plies his trade for Premier League side Leicester City, however he has failed to make an appearance since joining from the Red Devils in the summer.

The deadline for the emergency loan window is today so a host of Football League clubs are scrambling to bolster their squads for the latter stage of the season.

The Wrexham born forward does have Football League experience, having had spells with Carlisle United and Yeovil Town last year.

Lawrence is a prevalent figure in the Wales youth set-up, having played from under-17 level all the way up to under-21 level.

The youngster started his career at Everton, however moved to Manchester United in 2002, where he ended up staying for 11 years.

It now looks unlikely that Lawrence will leave the club on loan, but with it being deadline day, anything can happen.
