Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear has aimed an unusual dig at QPR, criticising their kit choice in the game at Elland Road a few weeks ago.

The Whites outclassed Mark Warburton's side on the first weekend in November, beating them 2-0 through goals from Tyler Roberts and Jack Harrison.

The latter picked out Roberts, who was starting for the first time in the Championship this season, at the top of the box and the Welshman slotted the ball into the bottom corner to give the hosts a first-half lead.

Harrison then turned from creator to goalscorer in the second half, capitalising on a fluffed clearance and calmly finding the back of the net.

The three points do not seem to have been enough for Kinnear, who couldn't resist aiming a sly dig at QPR in the programme notes ahead of the 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

He said (quotes via Leeds Live): "It was satisfying to outwit QPR's cunning ploy of creating confusion by claiming their kit would be 'Tiffany Blue' and then turning up in an 'Off White' ensemble that was barely discernible from our home strip."

The result at Elland Road on the weekend means Marcelo Bielsa's side have picked up back-to-back wins for the first time since the start of October.

It also means they remain third–only outside the top two on goal difference–and keep the pressure on West Bromwich Albion and Preston North End.

The Verdict

I wasn't at the game at Elland Road a few weeks ago but having seen the highlights, the kit clash didn't seem that much of an issue.

Leeds had far too much for the R's on the day and ran out deserved winners in West Yorkshire.

After a shaky few weeks, the win seems to have boosted the confidence of Bielsa's side, as we saw from their win over Blackburn on Saturday.
