Play-off hopefuls Leeds United and Norwich City have both expressed interest in Bradford City full-back James Meredith.

According to a report by The Daily Star, Leeds are readying a £350,000 bid to secure the signature of the Australian.

Leeds current left-back Charlie Taylor has plenty of interest from top flight teams and with speculation mounting about his future, the Whites have targeted Meredith as the perfect replacement should Taylor depart the club this month.

The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and it appears Bradford will no doubt look to cash in on the player before he is allowed to leave on a free.

Meredith is a huge fan favourite down at Valley Parade.

Since signing for the the Bantams in the summer of 2012, the Australian has gone on to make close to 200 appearances for the club.

The defender has actually earned two caps for the Australian national side and will no doubt be harbouring hopes of a recall to the squad in the future, something that a move to England's 2nd tier could certainly help with.

This transfer battle is certainly one to keep an eye on.

So Leeds fans, do you think Meredith would be an adequate replacement should Taylor Leave? And Norwich fans, what do you rate your chances of beating Leeds to the Australians signature? Let us know your thoughts below!
