Championship duo Leeds United and Derby County have entered the race to sign 15-year-old winger Bruno Davidson from Scottish side Hutchinson Vale, a report from the Scottish Sun has claimed.

It was previously reported by the same outlet that Scottish champions Celtic and League One side Sunderland have made offers for the teenager, who has also spent time with Premier League duo Liverpool and Southampton.

Now it seems as though interest in the winger is emerging from the Championship, with Leeds and Derby both said to be weighing up moves for Davidson.

As well as the second-tier duo, it is also thought that two other Premier League sides - Wolves and Leicester - are interested in a move for Davidson.

It was reported last month that the Foxes had offered the youngster a trial, which saw him turn out in an Under-16s match against West Ham.

The Verdict

It looks as though there is going to be quite the race for Davidson's signature in the next few months.

The profile and number of sides said to be taking an interest in him feels like an encouraging indicator of his ability, meaning whoever does win the race for his signature will have pulled off quite a coup.

At Davidson's age however, there is plenty for him to consider when deciding on his next destination, given the long-term impact it could have on the rest of his career, and indeed his life.

As a result, it wouldn't surprise me if it was still some time until we discover just where the winger will be heading next.
