Interim Sheffield Wednesday manager Lee Bullen has told the Sheffield Star he will not be deviating from his attacking principles what have served him so well thus far.

The Owls made it two wins from two yesterday as they saw off Barnsley at Hillsborough, with goals from debutant Jacob Murphy and experienced striker Steven Fletcher doing the damage for the home side.

And despite admitting his team will eventually lose, Bullen was keen to stress that he won't be asking his team to change their current attacking style of play.

"It is the most ruthless league in the world but we have got to try and stick to the principles that we want because we will win more games than we lose doing that. But we understand this league. We will lose games at some point. You are going to have off days as individuals and as a team but as long as they are few and far between then we will do okay." Bullen said. Wednesday have still not moved to make Bullen the permanent manager on an official basis but given the start he has had since taking the reins from Steve Bruce, it's hard to look past owner Dejphon Chansiri looking to tie Bullen down to a deal. The Scot, who played for Wednesday in the 2000's and enjoyed success in the League One play-off final along the way, is a firm fan favourite at Hillsborough. His appointment would no doubt go down well as things stand, although it remains to be seen just how Bullen and Wednesday react when that first defeat does come along. The Verdict Surely he has to get the job now, surely? Bullen has reignited the place in S6 and Owls fans are suddenly brimming with an optimism that we haven't seen since Chansiri first took over the club. If Bullen doesn't get the job, it's a massive risk for the club. The second it starts to go wrong for any new manager, the fans will probably turn and it could well sour what has been a really positive season so far.
