Charlton Athletic boss Lee Bowyer has revealed that Tomer Hemed, Beram Kayal and Ben Purrington will all be available to face Derby on Saturday after recovering from their injuries.

A number of injuries saw Bowyer's options reduced before the international break, but Charlton still managed to secure a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage and it now appears he the Addicks boss will have more players to choose from on Saturday.

Speaking to South London Press, Bowyer revealed that the trio would be available for the visit of Phillip Cocu's side, but he added that forward Chuks Aneke remains a doubt after missing the Fulham match.

“I’m not too sure on Chuks but the other three will be back for Derby,” he said.

“It’s really important that Ben [Purrington] is back because that left-back position is where we are short.”

Purrington has been a regular at left-back for the 10th-placed side having made 10 league appearances this season, and he is now set to make a quick return to the side after sitting out of the Fulham clash with calf and groin injuries.

Hemed was signed on loan from Brighton on deadline day and has made four league appearances in attack for Bowyer's side so far, and he is now set to feature for the first time in three matches after overcoming an injury problem.

Meanwhile, Kayal is yet to really make an impact in South London after also joining on loan from Brighton, but it appears he could now add to his 12 minutes of action this campaign when Charlton host Derby on the weekend.

The Verdict

This update will come as a considerable boost for Bowyer as his side has been effectively depleted by injuries of late.

Charlton have managed to pick up some fine results considering their injury problems, and they have a chance to really kick on with these players adding some much-needed depth to Bowyer's options.

Purrington will provide Charlton with a huge boost in defence as he very rarely puts a foot wrong and has delivered a string of consistently strong performances for the Addicks this term.

Kayal's return will also be particularly welcome as his lack of playing time so far means he will be a refreshing addition to the side when he finally starts playing regular football at his new club.
