League One sides Charlton Athletic and MK Dons are set to tussle for Arsenal's highly rated striker Stephy Mavididi, according to reliable journalist Alan Nixon.

The 18-year-old striker, who was the top goalscorer for Arsenal's Under 21 side last season, is one of the most highly rated players to have emerged from Arsenal's academy in recent years.

Arsene Wenger is considering allowing the Derby born striker to leave on loan, the loan move would give Mavididi a taste of first team football and an opportunity to forge a reputation in the Football League.

The striker has been linked to League One duo Charlton Athletic and MK Dons, and a move to either of the sides would allow Arsenal to monitor him closely.

It is expected that Mavididi will leave on loan in this window, however, it has yet to be established which club Arsenal will opt to loan him to.
