The end of another week draws near, but the frantic transfer action shows no sign of drawing to a close.

As we prepare for a warm weekend, the heat is being turned up in League One as teams bring in fresh faces looking to set the new season on fire.

We start with MK Dons who have found out one of their key players from last season is moving on to pastures new.

Chuks Aneke

Lee Bowyer has added to his promoted Charlton side by bringing in MK Dons forward Chuks Aneke.

The former Arsenal man bagged 19 goals for the Dons last season as they were promoted from League Two, but he failed to return to pre-season training this week.

He's penned a two-year deal with the Addicks, as revealed by their official website.

Darren Potter

Tranmere Rovers have capped off a busy week by adding experienced midfielder Darren Potter to their ranks, as revealed by the club's official site.

Potter, who has most recently been with Rotherham in the Championship, pens a one-year deal at Prenton Park.

The 34-year-old appeared once for the Millers last season and has represented Southampton, MK Dons and Sheffield Wednesday in the past.

Sam Jones

Shrewsbury have terminated the contract of Sam Jones, allowing him to hunt for another club, as reported by the Shropshire Star.

He joined Salop from Grimsby in January 2018 but failed to make an impact and ended up being loaned out to Cheltenham.

Manager Sam Ricketts said: "Sam was out on loan when I first came to the club and now it’s about him going out and playing football more regularly.

“I think it’s best for both parties that he goes off to play football at the level he was at when he came to the club."

Danny Mayor

The Bury man is a target for Ipswich Town, who look likely to be ahead of Ryan Lowe's Plymouth in the hunt for his signature.

Mayor looks likely to leave Bury in the wake of their financial troubles and has been at Portman Road today having a look around, ahead of a possible move.

The former Sheffield Wednesday man bagged eight goals and nine assists for the Shakers last season.
